Here's our cover for Lecrae's much-anticipated new album Gravity. We've been fans of what Reach Records has been doing for years - so we're pretty excited to be part of this record. And Church Clothes has been on repeat in the studio since it dropped.
We're excited to announce 'Unboxing', a new video series where we open, unpack and showcase the latest products we've worked on. First up: Our Hexapillar Gift Card for Target, another fun project from the creative folks at inHouse. We had loads 'o fun creating Hexapillar and as you can tell, the metamorphosis was successful.
Stay tuned for Episode 2!
If you have a son between the ages of 4 and 10, you probably know all about Hexbug. We've had the Nano habitat fired up at our place for awhile, so when our friends at Target asked if we'd like to design our own, my son (and his dad) gave an ecstatic and audible thumbs up. The Hexapillar Gift Card goes from caterpillar to butterfly in seconds flat and comes alive with one flip of the switch. In stores now. See it a tad larger here.
As always, extra big high-fives to our A.D.'s Ted Halbur and David Ledsinger for making this all happen.
We're extremely excited to launch Heartwork 2012. Featuring limited prints by Lab Partners, Jessica Hische, Julia Rothman, Aesthetic Apparatus, Nate Wragg, Gina Triplett, Meg Hunt, Jason Munn & IC. Each edition is extremely limited (only 10 prints available from each artist) so grab they while you can.
We’re honored to be part of this project and thankful for everyone who donated their time and talent.
Scratch & dent. Overstock. Printing errors. Old posters. We got 'em and we need to get rid of 'em. For the remainder of the summer (or until we run out of stock) we'll be stuffing tubes full of posters and prints for a measly $10. Unfortunately we can't list which posters and prints we'll be including in the sale as we just have so many to choose from. Most have slight blemishes or some sort of minor printing error, while others have just been sitting on the shelves for awhile.
The risk? You may just hate every band listed on the posters your receive. The payoff? Your walls aren't that picky. Act now!
Here's our cover for Sixpence None The Richer's great new album, Lost In Transition.
We're honored to have our work featured in The Grammy Museum's new installation "The History Of Heavy Metal", opening April 11th. The exhibit opening coincides with The Golden Gods and will feature numerous album covers from our early years within the heavy music genre. The show will be up for one year and definitely worth checking out.
Now sticking/shipping.
Looking for a little sun amidst those long, cold and blustery days? We suggest the new 'Winter Getaway Blend' packaging we created for Seattle's Best Coffee and the fine folks at Creature. As obvious fans of all things caffeinated, this was a real treat to work on. Big thanks to Dave Taylor, Kaylin Fitzpatrick and Cara Schwartz at Creature for the fun project. Get a slightly closer look in our portfolio. Only available in SBC Cafe's.
Happy New Year! We have two new Gift Cards hanging out on various Bullseye end caps throughout the nation. The first one actually features candles that light up and turn off as you blow them out! Pretty cool technology and sure to cure those winter blues. Grab it here.
The second one is for that special teacher in your life. Featuring a cool embossed reflective 'vintage lunchbox metal' type material. Pick one up here.
Always a fun time. Art direction: Rob Weaver, Kelly Gray and Ted Halbur.
Ruin your mom's van. Assorted vinyl IC stickers finally added to the shop.
Ahhhh, our favorite time of year is back. The two Frank's (Sinatra & Capra), Yuletide logs, eggnogs, and Lord Of The Rings DVD extras in our pajamas. And of course, the great seasonal goodies at Target. We were lucky enough to work on two fun stocking stuffers this Holiday season. Last year, the LEGO Build A Bullseye set was such a hit, we were asked to come back for round two. And to make the kids (and us) even more ecstatic, you can create a polar bear and snowman in addition to Bullseye dog. It all folds up into a gift-able size for that special someone. Sequels are supposed to be better, right?
And the gifts keep coming ... We were also asked to design and illustrate a super-fun (and addicting) interactive game featuring our favorite pooch. The big idea: Can you pat the dogs as quickly as they light up without losing your cool? Oh, and each level gets more and more insane as you continue to play. Lights, barking, action. Find them both in-store or online now.
Art direction: Brian Holt, Rob Weaver and Ted Halbur. Once again, extra special thanks to the team at Target.
You may have seen a fairly vague posting regarding this last week, but here's the lowdown: Low & Behold is a new project band that J Martin and I have been working on for a few years now. In a nutshell, it's really stripped-down classic goth/new wave- for those of you that dig on the likes of Depeche Mode, Sisters Of Mercy, etc. The first release, a 12" single titled Blood Red, is available for pre-order now here. The record features the title track, plus a b-side (Violent Sound), packaged in a gatefold sleeve, with a 11" x 11" 2-sided art print. So, yes, $9 is a steal.
Ahhh, the first day of pre-school. Today was a biggie for my son - definitely a few tears. Continuing tradition, here's a quick drawing I stuffed in his lunchbox to ease his first day jitters. Also in the shop for $12.
Time flies. Today is my little girl's first day of first grade. Just like last year, I decided to make her a quick treat for her lunchbox. Many of you asked for prints last time, so we added an 8.5" x 11" print to the shop for $12. All proceeds benefit her lunch fund ... and I'm happy to report that there were less tears this year ...
Here's a glimpse at our poster for 2 upcoming Fleet Foxes shows here in Seattle. The concept comes from a song called "The Shrine" (from their latest record, Helplessness Blues) where the lyrics speak of an old dried-up fountain filled with forgotten pennies. In this case, the pennies are actually metallic copper ink. In the store soon!
Here's a look at the poster we recently created for the Chicago date of The Decemberists' current tour. Looks like Chicago has some rough neighborhoods. Available in the store now!
